Departing from the city, we take a scenic mountain drive to Monte Verde, 774 meters (2,539 feet) above sea level, the highest point on São Vicente. At the summit, we’ll enjoy a cup of locally grown tea or coffee at the Tea House while admiring spectacular views of the island. On a clear day, you may also see the islands of Santo Antão, São Nicolau, Santa Luzia, Ilhéu Raso, and Branco — along with stunning aerial views of Mindelo and its coastal beaches.
